Medium Format – Ilford Delta 400

I have been shooting a lot of Illford HP5 on my Leica M3 and the results are great if you like grain. I enjoy using HP5 but what if I wanted a cleaner negative similar to what I get on my Leica M9 or any other digital camera? Well, we use Ilford Delta. The grain structure is much smaller and cleaner and even better if shot on medium format. Here are two samples: One taken with Ilford HP5 in a Leica M3 and one taken with Delta 400 in a Mamiya RB67.

Can you guess which of the following two images was taken with a Leica M3 and Mamiya RB67? PapaM3Lux50AsphHP5img177aPapaimg213
